Concept Art: concept

Hi all! This should be a fun challenge, even though I haven't read the book. =(

So here's my concept to start things off. I wanted to do the Death, going off the description on this site where they say the pictures are being sent to earth and are being consumed by the real death.

So here's some scientists watching the death on the monitor, then looking up out the window and horrified at seeing it approaching. (well thats the plan anyway) and it says something about "flames jumping from city to city, continent to continent", so I wanted to have large "light beam" things jumping between them.

I think i'll do all the structures/solid stuff in 3d and (attempt to) paint the rest. Should be fun!

I think the "flames jumping around" is more metaphorical. The Death is simply a nuclear exchange between the West and Russia, so there's no literal light beams from continent to continent. Just FYI.

I found the Death sequences really moving too, actually.
