Cool Microsoft Kinect SDK skeletal new tracking and viewer demo.

Testing out the brand new realtime Skeleton Scanner/Viewer from the Microsoft Kinect SDK.

It now features 2 kinect camera and 2 people support.

And also has hand and feet tracking with no calibration pose required.

To See it demonstrated click here http://bit.ly/SDKskeletal or HERE!

Please share.

Thanks and Cheers

Microsoft SDK Skeletal Viewer

Thanks for the response, One thing to note is that the SDK is available at.

http://bit.ly/kinectDEVKITsdk or HERE.

Please note that these drivers only work on Windows 7 right now.

And may take over your previous kinect drivers,

Proceed at your own risk.

Make sure to check these 2 most recent videos of me using iPiSoft one Kinect camera mocap as well.

http://bit.ly/KINECT-iPiSoft

http://bit.ly/iPiOptions

Which way is the future of animation?, MAny will argue that this isnt beneficial to the industry at all, Some folks think this isnt or shouldnt be called animation but rather called performance capture (Like Avatar). I think iPi is more accurate than microsoft IMHO.

Thanks and Cheers

Hi Vaska,

Yes you can.

It allows import and automatic retargeting of characters and their native bone rigg configuration.

iPistudio also exports FBX DAE Valve and BVH files of said riggs.

You can export BVH in 5 different structures. 3DS Max, Motion Builder, Endorphin, Blender and Iclone

So that being said, You can transfer motion off of your body to your imported avatar. (evolver, mixamo, troobones etc....)Then export the entire character rigg with animation straight to FBX DAE or BVH, THis is great for Machinima and Game Developers.!

With Maya, You will need to use the MEL bvh import script to import BVHs into it./

Cheers

Hi There,

Just note that Microsoft SDK is not for commercial, and iPiSoft is.

The Studio express version is only $395.00 + Kinect Camera + power adapter and game. $149.00.

Its closer to $595.00 to get started.

Still.......

You fail to mention Ipisoft is just a zDepth recorder to .avi as I have tested it a few weeks ago, and you also fail to mention Brekel.com which is "REAL" time with Motionbuilder like I tested it here and also
it is freeware.
The questions regarding real time mocap for your vid are numerous. Do you work for Ipisoft?

I'm testing both Brekel and Ipi at the moment.

Ipi has better smoothing and retargetting functions, and can work with multiple cameras (but single kinect), but it's not realtime.

For pure Kinect testing Brekel is easier to work with : it's REAL TIME and it's free...

This also seems to be realtime and isnside max - http://rubenhenares.404fs.com/kinec...c-%E2%80%93-04/

Hi refract,

I do not work for iPiSoft,

But I am an authorized affiliate partner for them, So I do make a small commission for each sale of iPiSoft Studio. (that is referred through my website)

IMHO iPiSoft is not "Just" a z depth recorder" It does a LOT more than that.!

iPiSoft is a great software. Visit this link http://bit.ly/iPiSoft or click here for more info.

P.S. this thread is headed off topic.

Yes, it is off topic only because you were affiliated with the company and it might affect your commission. But for all other reader, its good to know that there are other better and free resources out there.

Better is such a subjective term,

One mans trash is another mans treasure.

The above resourse I have posted is FREE,

The Tutorials I create I give away FREE and I also give away FREE Motions.

As far s realtime being better and FREE, Wake up, then grow up.

You dont have any idea what your talking about.

It sounds to me like you didnt get enought attention as a child when you were growing up.

Just watch the movie above and appreciate the FREE information that I brought here.

I didnt have to share it, for FREE
