3d Modeling ?

Hello, I'm looking for a college that offers a solid animation program and specializes in modeling. I've looked into many schools but they all seem to have very basic models with more emphasis on animation. I'd like a program that has both animation and good modeling. I'd prefer an accredited college. I realize gnomon has amazing modeling but I'd like to get a degree an get the fundamentals down before fine tuning my skills at gnomon. What schools would you recommend ?

Im also plan on teaching myself more advanced techniques along side the college courses. What are some good resources to invest in ?
