Painting using MEL (no interactive painting in a viewport)

I was wondering if it is possible to paint onto an object using only MEL (no interactive painting in a viewport).

I have the UV coordinates of the location where I want to paint (add a stroke).
the 'art3DPaintCtx' provides everything I need except for the actual painting itself.

Is it possible to paint using 'only' mel? If yes, how?

Thanks in advance.
