Color concept and wip textures...

Hey all, I've been meaning to post here for a while now, just haven't got around to it until now. Here is my color/material concept and a few screens, all WIP.

Thanks everyone. Here's an update. I'm pulling my hair out trying to get this finished by the 7th though.... anyone else worried about finishing before the due date??!

Maps shown here are color, dispFine, dispMedium. I've done some test renders in maya with several more maps though (spec, specRoughness, Glossiness, Reflect...)

We will be picking some finalists on the closing day and will then give them some extra time to polish, render etc. The standard of work so far has been amazing. Keep it up!!!

Your final product is so close to your concept its incredible! I definitely love your work... the skin is "wicked" too

Tentacles could use a darker color on the underside to counter the SSS but hey - looks freakin' cool.

Looks great. I guess being nit picky there is some texture stretching in the disp at the top of the tentacles, and I'd probably put some creasing into the leather on the goggles.

But then again...
