having merging problem

i am trying to merge the points that are on the top of my head model so that i can remove the wedge effect at the top of the head, my friend can use the merge verticies tool just fine, but mine will not work.

i set the distance to 10 and still nothing will hapen, what is the problem.

you don't say which software you are using?

You'll probably get a better response if you post in the relevant software specific forum.

I'm guessing you are using maya.

Are the two halves of the model combined? They must be a part of the same shape node in order for the command to work. To do this select both objects in object mode. Polygons->Combine.

just as an FYI, next time you have an app specific issue, please post in that app's forum.

It's better if you put this problem in the specific software section. You should tell what software you use for get more accurate solution.
