What do you think of this lighting?

Hey guys, I'm new here as you probably guesses and just wanted to get some opinions on my first real lighting test in 3D Studio Max 2011.

Looks a bit overexposed. What is your reference for this? I'd recommend getting a simple cube or a ball, putting it on a piece of paper and using a desk lamp to light it. Then use what you see on your desk as a reference and try to recreate that on your computer.
