Accurate simulation time calulations

Hi is there a way to print out the time between pushing play and when the time slider stops to the console/pop up window etc - i'm looking to get data on simulation times for dynamics like cloth and fluids without having to cache and read file creation times etc. Is there a neat method/tool?

thnaks!

Cheers - Something like this works OK. I'll make this up into a proper script with a UI for start and end frame sometime.

	$startTime = `timerX`;

	play -w;

	$totalTime = `timerX -startTime $startTime`;

	print ("Total Time: "+$totalTime+"s\n");
