Inception :: Production Focus

Hey there,

Double Negative tells CGSociety about the crazy dream they had. There were 500 FX shots for the film with a team of up to 275 people through various phases of production. Shot on film, often with a hand held camera. Nah, couldn't be real. Musta dream't it.

It is really nice to hear some of the thoughts they had about the movie.

Great content (if a little light-weight) for a great film.

But somebody should have proofed/edited this article before it went online. Soul/sole was just the beginning.

(and actually, with one house doing all of the vfx, maybe 'soul' is accurate too! :P )

read the wip script and starting pre-prod. so early was key. 6 weeks into post for the first finished shots with some pretty heavy fx in them is ridiculously fast, but then again with almost 300 people at your disposal, i suppose its not that bad.

thanks for the article. one of the few movies i wont care about how much the best release costs me upon launch because its so well rounded and good to watch. (which dissapointingly reminds me of iron man 2)
