CARRERA Raptor RS

The Carrera Raptor RS is an electric powered racing GP motorcycle, inspired by Syd Mead's Forbidden Planet Rover concept, The Village Machine art, Tron's Light Cycle, Blade Runner's Spinner Vehicle, and the 2nd image in the 'Inspiration & Guide' section of this contest.

This fast racing bike is powered by an electric motor inside the whole shape of each tire, the rim in both tires holds an internal rim which rotates with the tire and brake disc, the caliper is part of the external rim.

The bike leans to the left or right to take curves at high speed, but the front tire can also rotate in its axis using an gyroscope rotation system that makes the tire rotate in its axis by moving the external part of the front rim. Here is an top view interpretation of the tire system: (-o-). The front tire is not controlled by moving the handlebar, it is rotated using the controls on the handlebar.

The motorcycle UI is part of the upper chassis, it can be displayed below the paint and controlled by the buttons on the handlebar or by fingers multi-touch method directly on the UI. The UI can be moved across the upper chassis and it is adaptive to the racer needs.

The handlebar has an inverted wing shape, it's a spoiler that provides stability at high speed.

The pedals in the rear rim have a dual directional functionality with a dual grip shape for the racer's boots that makes easier and faster to press or pull.

The bike can control its aerodynamic and stability by increasing or decreasing its height according to the speed, moving the center of gravity by means of the pivots in the lower front and lower back of the central chassis.
