Object tracking in Nuke?????


Is it possible to do 3d object tracking within NukeX 6.0 ??
So far I've only come across that Syntheyes, PfTrack and Boujou
are capable of it.

Any other suggestions?

The thing I want to be able to do is track a head of a person using a fixed camera.
Then ad a helmet to that person .. what software do I need and which is the most
price effective?

if you have only motion on the object an no motion on the camera then you can make a fake object track. in this case the tracker will put out an animated camera around a still object.

syntheyes is the less expansive matchmove solution you can get and it is a realy great piece of software.

If the camera is locked off, it would be cheaper, easier and quicker to do it by hand in your 3d package. Then you won't have to resort to buying something else.

BTW Nuke can not object track

If you want to roto your object then you can object track using the above mentioned 'still object/moving camera' method.
