Hi Thomas

The University of Hertfordshire has an MA in Games Art.

The course is taught by lecturers who have worked in the Games Industry. It is hard to say whether the course would definitely be suited to you without seeing your artwork though.

I am just graduating from an excellent course at De Montfort University in Leicester. It is the only Skillset Accredited course for Game Art in England as far as I am aware, which means that it is approved by the industry.

Obviously the course has its weak points, but I have been very pleased to have gone there. The 3D tutor Heather, has had many years of game industry experience at Codemasters and Blitz before coming to work as a lecturer. The traditional arts tutor Chris is a fine artist with a lot to teach and the lead of the course Mike is an ex photographer with good visual judgement. The course has good contacts in industry and will often have guest lecturers from companies with excellent reputations. In my experience the learning atmosphere is very good also.

Basically I am really pleased with the course, I am now graduating to find a job as an environment artist and I feel like I have a good understanding of what I need to do to get a job. Obviously there is always more to learn, but I feel well equipped. Check it out!

Thanks, you have some very nicely observed models there, and good textures as well. The only thing missing would be some examples of concept drawings / paintings and life drawings.
