write node is not rendering out files

my write node is refusing to write, i am relatively new in nuke:

here is the details:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "", line 1, in
File "C:/Program Files/Nuke6.0v2/plugins\nukescripts\renderpanel.py", line 31, in render_panel
nuke.executeMultiple(_list, frame_ranges )
RuntimeError: Write1 cannot be executed for multiple frames.

can anyone help me on this? am i doing something wrong?

Have you checked the frame length of your project settings, timeline, make sure they match to the sequence you're outputing.

Is there fractal or auto animated node in your graph ?

this is the key, nuke expects that you give a frame padding. so enter something like "pictures.####.jpg" or "images.%04d.exr"
