Maya, mr displacement map/motion blur

Ok, I posted this before, but I think in the wrong forum. Has anyone succeeded in getting the displacement map/motion blur to work with mental ray in Maya for NPR? I know there was a thread about this a year ago, but I haven't heard ever since. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the file. Motion blur does work beautifully on displacement maps when it comes to motion of the whole object. What I was trying to do is a non photorealistic rendering technique designed by Isaac Botkin which involves animating a displacement map in itself (either rotating it or oscillating it at a high frequency) and then rendering with motion blur to achieve softer edges than those you normally get in mental Ray or other renderers.
