post motion blur and depth of field, how?


It is possible with out causing some major artifacts to do both motion blur and depth of field in post?

The issue lies in if you motion blur your image, then the depth pass wont line up, and vice versa. And applying motion blur to the depth pass i figured is a bad idea because it'll introduce antialiasing.

Any ideas?

The only way I've seen this work and look passable is if you essentially "fake" your DOF by rendering your 3D elements as separate layers by distance from camera, and then manually defocus/convolve them. If you render your motion vectors the same way, they will defocus the same.
