Growing mountains?

Howdy!

Is there a way in VUE or some other software perhaps to create a mountain growing. Basically animate the intensity, i guess, of the displacement map.

Thanks!

The easy way would be to scale it. I only do things the easy way.

Weel, you can do it more "artisticly" like using ramps to reaveal the displacement maps, the bump maps, textures, etc ... I think you have quite flexibility using Vue's nodes.

used to be able to keyframe painted standard terrains, but looks like it is broken in version 8, not sure if it'll be fixed.

you can animate any procedural in the terrain altitude function. you can animate with a connection to the time input node, or use a dynamic controller connected to objects(dependents) in the scene.

all the material sliders in vue can also be keyframed.
