![]() Howdy!
Im right now looking for a good card to use with maya, as you might understand my budget is not good, therefore i wonder if the radeon 8500 card would work good enough in Maya. The main thing im after is good overall performance in modeling and also with the use of Artisan. If you got any tip or another card you can recommend let me know! /Peace & Thanx --> NRJ :O) __________________

![]() If you're in a low budget and is goingo to get a "gaming card" I suggest you to stay with nVidia cards. I have seem some people complaining about Radeon 8500's performance under professional OpenGL program like Maya and 3dsmax, mostly because of Ati's crappy drivers.
If you can afford, look for a GeForce4 Ti4600/4400/4200 card, the most expensive is around $350.00 and the less expenstive GF4 Ti4200 is around US$180.00. They're fasta and also can drive two monitors. If you're in a really low budget, you can find some GeForce2 Ti for less than $100. Cheers! Flávio |
