Storyboards / pre-visualization: Main Character Sketch

Sketch of the main character, Woody Tuff. Going for the tacky ex-war hero angle, he has a wooden minigun where his left hand should be because it got chopped off in a battle.

This is my first proper CG project, I've never actually finished a piece of CG work from start to finish, been doing tutorials and studying 3d modelling and animation for a couple of years now. I thought its about time to pull my socks up and get on a challenge that will get me going. I'm not a great artist but i reckon with the goal of the challenge i can produce some good work..

Brainstorming

I'm aiming to pretty much make a trailer for this "B-movie" with the famous movie trailer voice, something on the lines of....

"Woody Tuff.....
He's so tough he turned his dismembered hand into a spear shooting minigun...
(show woody all bloody in a forest attaching a minigun to his arm)

Science cannot explain his toughness...
(show woody as crash test dummy, but car and wall get destroyed and woody walks away without a scratch)

He can undress women with a bat of an eyelid...
(show woody in a bar surrounded by loads of women and with a bat of his eyelids he sends a gust of wind that lifts up their skirts)

And during all that, he still manages to save mankind from extinction...

(woody standing on a pile of rubble, all bloody, with a hot woman in his arms, getting ready to swing off on a rope)

See Woody Tuff in this thrilling adventure where Woody saves the world from the 'Killer Stapler'...
(show woody stand-off with the killer stapler)

WOODY TUFF & THE KILLER STAPLER!"
(end with movie poster pose)

Storyboards / pre-visualization: refined head sketch

spent a little bit more time on the main character and this time looked at references such as Arnold in Predator, Chuck Norris, Buzz Lightyear and Superman.

Decided to change the characters name to Bruce Steel and instead of a wooden minigun fitted to his arm, it will be a bionic arm that can have different attachments i.e. bazooka, minigun, shotgun, etc.

"Bruce Steel & The KILLER GIANT STAPLER"

Storyboard 3 (final)
They run towards each other, with close up on each character then just before collision, it cuts to title.

This last scene was inspired by incredible hulk trailer.

Storyboards / pre-visualization: Killer Stapler

Sketched out the killer stapler, want to keep true to the B-movie, so it will look like a badly manufactured rubber stapler head.

Trying a different pose, working out the anatomy and a bit of colour.
