Character: BlackWing Sorceress

Took about a Month and a half I think, all in a hotel Yea, I work out of town...

That is not her face, btw, she is warring a helmet.

Done with Photoshop7, only referance was Poser5 figure.

I had posted this by accident in the 3D section and thought I better post it in the 2D section.

The Helmet is supposed to look like a bird skull, the idea here is that the character would play on the local human inhabitants fears by making them believe she is a mythical bird Goddess.

Admittedly the helmet did not come out quit like I had imagined, but it was the best I had come up with.

Did you not sketch before painting it? The helmet doesn't look like a helmet if you have to tell us, hehe, you know what I'm saying?

The anatomy looks off too. Her arms get increasingly smaller as they go down, her hands are very tiny. I'd say her "feet" are too... usually the feet, or claws in this case hehe, would be long because she looks very tall. The claws have to support the weight...

hmm... what else can i say? you did a very good job painting it I'd love to see it worked on some more

Yea, I had a sketch...
Well, an outline anyway, the sketch didnt look that different from the final. All I did was use a hard edged no spacing smudge brush.
The outline was based on a Poser5 render. The hands to me look just a tad small now that you mention it. The Talons on the other hand is the same size as her original feet, they might could use a little enlargement....

I'll try out some of the changes this weekend..
