Here is my latest personal 3d work. A female half uman, half jellyfish. I used maya and mudbox for modeling and texturing +renderman.

gorgeous shader. i love the way it combines refractive with sss qualities and also the rainbow-colored reflectivity. great stuff !

Really cool character and those shaders are fantastic, I just would have loved to see some sort of innards in the head, whether it was pieces of cartilage or hints of a brain something a bit more to bring out more the transparency of a jellyfish.
