Ok...

if there is no way of creating such a thing then, is there a way of constraining particles for a specified curve or motionpath to follow???

whats wrong with curveflow? it should anything you want.

anyway MEL Scripting for Maya Animators has an exact same thing your after. The author Mark Wilkins is here so PM him on how to do it....or buy the book.
He creates a particle system that helix's/spirals around the curve.

Well.. thx for the reply..

yes Curveflow shure does what i would need but it does do more than what Im preciely needed of.. I just wanna set a particle follow a path and have the control of the emitter's speed as a common emitter do..(not wanna adjust the offsetcurves for the speed control or the ramps for the distence etc..tht's all added neusence)

I would check him... expect to get some help from.. would U let me know his ID plz?

bye then...
