Talking Let's rig this rotary engine!

Hi everyone! It looks like no new topic within this area. And I got one.

I just saw a cool Rotary Engine Training Video for Luxology modo. And this is the website:
http://www.luxology.com/store/16_rotary_engine/

You can see the animation on the gif picture. How to achieve this effect?

I made it with 3ds max and the attachment is my max file. I use MAXScript but there might be other good means to do it. So why don't you guys just try it?
My max file is in the page below:

I answered you here - all you need is in those video tutorials by Louis Marcoux. Look at constraints, wire parameters for gears, everything.

Hehe, will remember this for future. If I can't solve something I create a challenge on CGT and let others do my work..

No, I just need it done. I shall create some contest where you will have to upload the file. Or even better, I will start a "Let's share our rigs"-thread(by ours I mean yours).

Good idea!

This is a good idea!
I achieved this effect with script.
b-(sqrt(l*l-r*r*(sin a)*(sin a))+r*(cos a))

It seems to be a math issue and not a rigging setup.
So I've been looking for some rigging setup.
