Question Scripting: Writing my first script

I would like to write a script that will create two planes with a pre-determined size and dimension with the press of a single button or key. I have never written any scripts before and would appreciate some tutoring/mentoring, or any help in achieving this.

this one should be simple enough. read the help file to get the structure down of a macroscript. then turn on the macro recorder and make your planes. all of the information u need wil be displayed in the recorder. u should need more form the maxscript helpfile than thew structure of the macroscript.

hope this helps
