Importing a scene into the modeler

Hey there,

I wonder, is there a way to import a scene into the modeler? Actually I'm experimenting a workflow where you model parts in the modeler and assemble them into the layout (like, instancing, deforming with displacements and physics, using physics to scatters debris etc).

There is a modeler plugin from DStorm, called "Load Objects From Scene", which seems to make this operation : loading the objects in place into the modeler. But it's not working, it keeps saying "There is no item with object" (whatever that could mean, by the way). I'm using Lightwave 9.6 (32 bits).

Do any of you guys have a solution?
