NYTimes Article: Arts Programs in Academia Are Forced to Nip Here, Adjust There

For those going to art schools or art programs within universities in particular, these are clearly bad times:


"If you are looking for a sign of how strapped the University of California, Los Angeles, is for cash, consider that its arts and architecture school may resort to holding a bake sale to raise money."

It's too bad how the art programs are being affected, although I can't say that generally, most public state universities had great fine art programs to begin with.
