WIP: Space Things

I've been working on this periodically for awhile. It's a space scene, so you've been warned. Today I discovered the new DivX for Mas allows me to ENCODE DivX from OS X, so I thought I'd post my little project.

640x480 30fps DivX 5.07-2400kps (good enough for full frame) ~11.1 Mb
<or>
240x480 30fps DivX 5.07-600kps (not so good) ~3.2 Mb

Comments welcome. (Every time I see this, I see things I will change.)

Michael

Nice, but I think you should work a bit more on the camera movements.

I like what you've done so far - the camera movements have a hand-held feel to them which is probably what you were trying to go for. I like the badlands terrain and the distant "sun".

My initial impression of the 5 glowing red spheres were perhaps heat-seaking "proton" torpedos but then I saw the same on the three pursuit ships. Maybe I've seen too much Star Trek, but I believe you'll confuse people with the sphere-exhaust concept.

Also, the planet in the background or it's clouds should rotate at a much slower rate - actually it would probably be imperceptible.

Keep up the good work, though
