Alias Logo...Strangely familiar

Is it just me or does the new Alias logo remind you of the Lightwave logo. In fact, if you turn it upside down, I'm sure it is the same shape as the previous LW logo.

Maybe it was a joke, but that was my first reaction too. Nowhere near a rip-off, but the motif is really similar.

This isn't the first time a logo look like the LW one.

I think we have the next evolution of the LW logo - an idea that was being tossed around on another thread. Just turn it upside down and get rid of the red dot, leave the spikes on and - voila!

LOL....that was a good one! I had seen the Alias logo before, but didn't realize the one you posted had been doctored. I was saying to myself...."wait a minute...what a ripoff!" Then I read a bit further down....hehe...nice one.
