Racing vehicle

Hey all,

So this is the start of a game that i'm working on for my reel and also because i think it's time i put together a full complete game (or atleast a few levels ).

The story/ plan.

The idea is to have futuristic vehicles race around tracks at speeds of 1000mph+ i plan on having epicly sized race track's that go through futuristic deserts, past large cities and perhaps through some underground areas.

The game engine i'm using is currently having some huge upgrades done to it, which include screen space AO, LOD improvements and a host of other various pysics and shader upgrades, aswell as background loading problems solved. So i think i should be able to pull off some nice visuals aswell as get it to run on modest hardware.

The work

I'm working on one of the ships that the user will be able to control. It's currently around 4k at the moment, but i am planning on adding more details, and also optimizing the mesh.

I've also included a rather crude concept image, expect more "crude" concept image soon

Posting an update.

The modeling for this is complete, i'll probably optimize it a little then start to texture the model. Any crits before i start texturing would be nice.

Once i've textured the model i'll start on the other vehicles, then move onto concept images for the enviroment and tracks

Here is an early concept drawing for another ship. You can probably see the F1 influence on the car's.

It's still WIP, i may make some adjustments but i'm quite happy with the design so far, for this and the previous ship.
