Chopper from One Piece, Giorgio Lafratta (3D)

Title: Chopper from One Piece
Name: Giorgio Lafratta
Country: Italy
Software: Maya, Photoshop, Vue, ZBrush

Hello there.

This is a fan art tribute to one my favourite manga character.
I've chose this subject to study and improve my skill on fur systems.
For this character i've used 5 maya furDescriptios; 3 of them combed using hairSystems and furAttractors.
Modelled in Maya. Texturing and sculpting done with Photoshop and Zbrush. Environment done with Vue d'esprit.

Here you can see pose reference and modeling reference

A special thank to Simona Ceci for the post processing support.

I hope you like it.
C&C are welcome.

Excellent work, the fur is your way man... I love your 3D character interpretation. Nice choice the overexposed look, to well explain a sunny day in a beach.

I can see a little moire effects over the trees... are they scanned from a book or magazine?

anyway very well done!

hi there,
I want to thank you very much for good comments...

thank you too... but I've used only a Vue d'esprit render for the background...
So i really can't see this moire effects... maybe it's a postprocessing artifact.

wow right... I've forgotten to read again your post... (Environment done with Vue d'esprit) sorry...

the effect is really soft, but you can see it over the trees in the right hill it's like a thiny soft noise grid... but don't care! The image is great!
