David and Goliath, Roger Nobs (2D)

Title: David and Goliath
Name: Roger Nobs
Country: Switzerland
Software: Photoshop

This was created for the CGS 'Steampunk' Challenge.

Inspiration from Dickens and particularly Oliver Twist, both the Roman Polanski version and the beautiful David lean version. Wanted to convey a very particular time and moment. It's early morning on the day a crazed industrialist embarks on a crazed mission to destroy the slums of London. One boy stands in his way.

Excellent job, Roger! Beautiful design and you really captured that particular time and moment.
A small crit: the boy's anatomy seems a little bit off, the arms are too short, otherwise all the other characters are looking great.
Good luck with the contest!

Wow, what a lovely surprise. I just set up my CGS gallery and posted this late last night.

Thank you to Christopher (yes I agree), Todd, Seif, Saif, Ana (thanks for the crit - not sure; he is quite a small boy with both arms slightly foreshortened, but you may be right), Neil (just down the lake!), Alexander, Jose, Del, Fiona and Juan.
So many very talented people here; I'm honored. Really, thank you.

The Steampunk challenge was already an amazing experience, giving me so much in so many ways. I think I'm going to like being here.
