Asigning a set of materials to multiple objects

Hello,

I m facing a problem :(
Let's say that we have a scene with 500 different materials and 500 different objects .
Is there a way to assign material 1 to object 1, material 2 to object 2 and so on till 500...automaticely ?

Any help on that 'll be great.
Thanks.
