Right now the rumors are spreading about the new processors, powermacs, powerbooks and panther? Such a shame

Rumors are just that...rumors. It's tough to be productive with hardware that doesn't exist yet. I plan on switching to a PC as well...if I ever manage to save up some money.

Anway...nice render there, Claw...looks a little too "serious" to be a Mac, though.

Thanks for the reply's guys!

I think macs are great, its a bit slow on the openGL side (actually worked with LW on a PC for some months and discovered how much faster it was to work on)

But I believe in the new powermacs, faster bus and PPC970 might do just well for 3d on mac.

oh shit.. hope I don't start a war now.. Come on, ignore everything I said!

Yeah, it doesn't follow the apple design guidlines,

besides, I don't think they'd be much of a market for computers that could widthstand nuclear attacks.

The rumours indicate that the tower will keep the handles, but be thinner, and not as deep as the current mirrordrive models.

Remember when the G5 Sphere images went around?

Anyway, its nice work, just not apple!

The look of any computer really doesnt hold much with me, especcially when i'm considering which tool to use. Though apple has great computers and a fantastic OS, buying multiple apples for a creative enviroment is far to expensive compared to doing the same with PC's. You don't see very many mac render farms for a reason. Beautifull render. Does look like a PC, but who cares, creative freedom is a wonderfull thing. I really like that metal texture, very nice.

I agree, it looks more like a new Boxx computer than an apple. There isn't enough plastic

That's a good looking case though. You might be a little too conservative with the air intake slots, but maybe the new chips will run cooler.

Why does it need to withstand a
1 KTon nuke attack?

The replies on SPyMac are pathetic, they beat it down while not understanding the intention of it being posted there...

It is actually posted in the artwork section and people yell FAKE!...CRAP!...That didn't come from Apple!...no duh, you bunch of wankers, that's why it is posted in an artwork forum, not in the news forum....some Mac users are like extreme orthodox believers...my word....

As for the render, nice, the only thing that bugs me is the weird looking intake (like it was pasted on there in Photoshop with a standard bevel...)
