HELP: Looking for a good Mel reference manual??

Hey guys,

Can anyone suggest a good Mel reference text? I have a bunch of DVDís etc. but would like a good solid up to date reference manual on everything available to the Mel & C++ API (or perhaps an all in one with Python to)! I know very little about scripting so would like something which will allow for solid building blocks and industry used practices and processes.

I have been browsing through Amazon but would feel much better about comments made here on any stand out manuals rather than rely on the reviews posted there.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Cheers

I Think everyone would agree with me that the David Gould Books are a must. They cover MEL as well as the C++ API.
David Gould Vol. 1
David Gould Vol. 2

Other Book that I found useful were the Art of Rigging Books for MEL and the O`Reilly Books for learning Python.

Hey!

I have been looking at those two - I assume given that they are printed 2003 and 2005 respectively, doesn't really matter? I'm just curious if many of the reserved words/attributes available might have changed in the past 5 or so years! I'm sure the syntax will not have changed but the way in which you may do something might have?

I am VERY new to scripting so this may not be something to be concerned about?

Much appreciated!

cheers
