The nautilus, Marc SIMONETTI (2D)

Title: The nautilus
Name: Marc SIMONETTI
Country: France
Software: Painter, Photoshop

Hi,

I've made this illustration for the 3DVF contest on Jules Verne 's universe.
I'm quite fascinated by the huge source of inspiration that his work represents for us, and I was definitely motivated by his novel "20000 Leagues Under the Sea".
So here's the result: I just hope you'll like it!
made in photoshop, painter , and paintool SAI (gret app indeed)

Marc this is a really stunning image. The light and clour are just sublime, as is the sense of scale and the drama of the POV. Just inspiring work, man. Phil

Thanks a lot pals. As it is a personal illustration, I feel somehow much more implicated in it than usual, so I really appreciate your feedbacks.

Awesome. "20000 Leagues Under the Sea" was one of my most beloved books since childhood, and I still love it. But i've never imagined it in such beautifully colorful way. Great illustration.

Good god it's quite wonderful.
Looks inspired.
Immense ..great serene sense of the leviathan passing by.
I get the slightest idea i am looking through a portal by the framing blue, gives the viewpoint we are passenger within the underwater somehow.
