My son has a gift. He is also an ostrich.

Some of you may remember this thread on the modelling and rigging of these two:

Now I have begun animating the two of them. I am about 4 or 5 hours in. I did a bit Friday and more today.
Here we are at the blocking stage. Comments on poses very much appreciated.

Right, several hours later and I'm into splining plus have started facial animation. I'll revisit lip sync tomorrow and move onto overlapping. Both characters hit their poses at similar times on all parts of their body. They even walk off in step. That wasn't intentional funnily enough. I offset some of the father's keys so his walk looked better timed, then spotted it was the same as the ostrich. The walking needs attention too but hopefully you'll see where I'm going with this anyhow.

Ok, based on feedback elsewhere I've started this afresh with a new blocking out of things. The father leads the walk now. It's the only thing I've really broken down past initial poses. If the rest works I'll have the ostrich jog off screen after him. Background is temporary.
