The Conversion of Saint Paul, Ian Spriggs (3D)

Title: The Conversion of Saint Paul
Name: Ian Spriggs
Country: Canada
Software: Maya, Photoshop

This image is inspired by Caravaggio's 'The Conversion of Saint Paul'. I was interested in creating a contemporary version that speaks on current issues of revolution and power.

Modeled, textured, and lit in Maya. Photoshop elements were added to the background for effect.

Nice image Ian, you modelling skills are improving by leaps and bounds. The main models pose looks a bit stiff and there isn't much texture to the uniforms (they look very matte), but it's a nice composition and nice horse.
Sorry we didn't get to have that coffee before we left TO. Keep up the good work!

Five star concept. As mentioned above, the textures are a bit unfinished and the poses aren't quite there, but it's a great image.
