New Script: CycleSiblings

Based on a feature request on the Discreet support webboard, I have written a script to cycle through the selection of siblings in a heirarchy. If you have the third joint of a finger selected, for instance, then using this script will allow you to cycle through to selecting the third joint of each finger in the same hand. Combined with PageUp/PageDown for traversing between parent and child, this script allows greater flexibility in navigating a heirarchy with the keyboard. As an added bonus, it also works in the Skin modifier by cycling through envelopes in the same manner.

The script comes in the form of an MZP package, which you simply drag and drop into Max to install. Two new macro commands will be added in a category called RHTools (for cycling in both directions). Assign them to the hotkeys of your choice, and enjoy!

Download the script

Special thanks go to John Seagull, whose work laid the foundation for my idea of how a "sibling" should best be defined for the purposes of this script, and to Josh Jones for the nice little idea

Thanks,
RH
