Don't worry most of us here have bad english, hehe. I'd suggest you work more on your head structure before actually going into painting the head, even if you're going to make this an exagerated face the forms are uneven, you need to tighten your wire sketch more...
Also, before using small brushes use bigger ones so you layout the forms of the shadows better, then go and define them, and then (I don`t remember the word, bad english too!, but ey you know smooth the damn thing, hehe )

by the way, great 3D images on your portfolio!!!

Hey, thanks for your comment Just what exactly do you mean by "work on your general shape" ? I would like to have some definate points i can work on rather than a general statement This coloring is my first one since many many months or even years, i just focused on getting the skin tone correctly and not screwing up on that point.

head structure... unfortunately the language limits my crits. But I'll explain myself as best as I can. I'd have to know if you're going for a realistic head or a caricature. If it's realistic the eyes are too big, the nose it's weird somehow, the mouth has a wrong angle (a mistake I make often), the ear seems like it's stuck to the head, and the area between the cheek and the eye seems flat...

First draw the face until you know it's right before adding skin tones. You can sketch with your tablet or a pencil if it makes you feel more comfortable, but perfect your head drawing. If you did those great 3D pieces I bet you can take care of this fast...

If it's a caricature, you still have to fix those things I said, just leaving enough exageration to your piece.

i ALWAYS draw bigger eyes, i dont know why. That bothers me ever since ^^. I didnt focus too much on the correctness of the mouth, now i see its wrong. And that was the first time EVER that i painted an ear, so okay, i need to fix the angle and shade more. But i think i move on, i think you learn more from drawing more than from painting over the same picture over and over again Thank you very much for your comments !!

newest face, done ~20 mins, just a quick sketch

next try and drawing/coloring practice

I think the last two sketches are much improved. I see that you drew in the meridian lines -- very helpful in keeping the facial features lined up. In your first attempt the nose was at a different angle from his face. Keep doing the loose sketches for practice. The odd angle seems to help -- you stop drawing what you think you know and need to really see the subject to make it look right.

The only thing inhibiting me from admiring your work - and it is great shading - is those ugly charcoal-looking outlines. Please do me a favour and place them on a separate layer and hide them before you post an update. They're superfluous; the shading alone should define the edge of the head.
