Challenge WIP: IronGoblin

Howdy.

I've been following this challenge for quite a while, and I've been dying to join in on it. And today i took the step and started fleshing out my character.

Quick Update

Thnx.. as everyone else i always start with the nose when i model.. :-)

Just did a quick update. Done some changes on the head.. started doing some clothing... Wish i had more time to work on this one though. Ill try to update it as often as possible... :-)

welcome to the challenge irongoblin!good start! but you should be carefull to not model our armes too much along the torso, or it`s gona be a hell to ring !

Thnx Pascal. Im a big fan of yours, so im most honored by receiving your advice. I've tried to move the arms a bit away from the body, but im having problemds with the geometry on the shoulders. Guess I'll have to rebuild that area.

New updates. Added shoes. And a closeup of the head.

The biggest proble though, is that i dont know how to make this one look like a pirate...

Just smack a pirate's hat in there! But no patch over the eye, the eyes are way too cool! Great start!

And some other pirate's clothes and attributes on his body... maybe a sword... integrated with his hand...

It's coming along great, I like those pants and boots, If you don't know how to make it pirate like, look at drawings of pirates, search the net for images, get ideas here and there, it works for me.

el gatto: Hehe.. Did a search on pirate on google.com. Something tells me I'll have to narrow my search. :-)

I haven't been able to work on this one for about a week now, because of work and other stuff. But I managed to sit down an hour or so last night and smacked on a headband, a belt and some-thingies. I know the fellow dont have hands yet, but ill have to build them from scratch. (Don't have any hand-meshes laying around)

Cool model, his face is pretty freaky, wouldn't want to meet him on a bad day..or good day for that matter! I think his chest/abs could use some work, his rib cage seems kind of condensed. Once his hands are done it'll all be good. Looks like he's about to breath out fire or something.

Thnx Lev_0. Ill keep that in mind. Guess I've gotta hurry if I'm to finish this model in time.

New update. Started work on robotic arm (or whatever its called)
Got home from work at 11:30pm.. worked on it for about 1.5 hours.. got some work left though.. Sorry about the bad lighting on the closeup.. but im way to tired to do anything about it at the moment. Maybe tomorrow...

Quick update. Dunno if I'll last until the 1st of feb. Feel free to comment on this one. Still got lots of areas i need to fix. If anyone have any technincal suggestions feel free to write them down in this thread..

I really like it.
Some work on the big shoulder joint maybe. Add some detail and smooth out the under side of the socket, I think would add tons to the model.

Fat&ugly: Thnx. I'm gonna continue on the shoulderjoint today.

Got a few things left to do though. Swords/weapons, a tail, hair(??), details on armour, item in hand and posing it. Gawd.. not much time left...

Had to create a hand. Never done that before so guess it will have to do. Modified ring around arm. Detailed shot below.
