Cool Best dual AMD xp 1900 Configuration ??

Hi,

Could anyone suggest me a good motherboard for a dual xp 1900
with a 900xgl Quadro Card. Seems that only Asus and Tyan distribute motherboards for the Atlhon here, in Madrid.

If you want a really well packed board, the Tyan K7 Thunder would be my choice.....

oh wait, it was. I have 12 of them.....

it is a pricey board though. it has onboard SCSI Ultra160, slanted simm sockets to fit in a 1U case. ANd Dual lan.

Also the Tyan Tiger is a good choice at just over 200.00

I think Asus is enough if You want to do 3D graphics, as server mainboard Tyan is better, but 2 times more expensive. I use Asus A7M266-D and two AthlomXP 1700+ processors and it rocks.

The choice id Yours.

Be careful about the Tyan Thunder - unless they've changed the board, it requires a special power supply (specific to that model) - go figure.

The Tiger is more standardized. That's what I bought and I love it - Dual 1800+ weeeeeeeee

that really isn't much of an issue since the PS is pretty widely available. YOU can easily get them from numerous manufacturers, and they are not really any more expensive than "standard" power supplies.
