Speed Hazer 2.0

With the release of Messiah 3, Taron has revamped/recoded Speed Hazer. This shader node is usually connected to the ‘Atmosphere’, this can be used for various ‘atmospheric’ effects such as fog and underwater scenes. As with all things Messiah all vaules can be animated

Some examples files are in the Messiah 3 release. I hope to show a bit more depth and possibilities on this node and others, hopefully others will pitch in as well

I'm surprised no one has commented on this. The fog looks amazingly clear. Great work there. What does the shader network look like?

Keep the posts coming Rush123.. This is the area of the software that really needs explanation.. There is little or no information in the docs.. the settings can be somewhat cryptic if you do not know what they correlate to.. A button by button explaination is often helpful in these cases.. it's too time consuming to try to figure it out.. especially on render intensive stuff like this..

Nichod & lanosrep1, thanks for saying 'thanks' below is some info from Taron on it.

"SpeedHazer has changed significantly during the Messiah 3 development phase, in terms of simplification and ingenious design. Fantastic underwater atmospheres and improved fog are now possible because of independent color falloffs and a colorize function. The 'BG' checkbox allows for processes only the objects with the haze settings and enables the background to remain unchanged. As a result of these improvements users can render objects with any atmosphere color over black for easy compositing.

Ray-marching function will become its own shader node and the function removed from this node. Four new parameters to control color falloff, controlled be R,G and B independent channels and a colorize function that blends colors into the color of the background with adjustable distance. A 'combine ground' for vertical fog with distance fog as well as additional bias and gain controls"
