question on rules

so i've read the requirements. but still have a question.

If you are entering the 3d contest what are the requirements for the concept art?
Do i have to follow the guidelines for the 2d contest for my 3d piece?

so what are the 2d guidelines for the 3d contest?

The Deliverables:
A final illustrated concept of your glorious Dominance War III Character. You can use any 2d software package and/or any traditional mediums like acrylics, color pencils, and oil paints to create this image.
A black & white or single color (example light to dark blue etc) modeling sheet that shows at least 3 angles of your character. Choices include: Front, right, left, perspective, closeup(s), and/or back view.
A minimum of 6 black & white or single color (example light to dark blue etc) initial rough draft thumbnail sketches.

or are those the guidelines no matter which contest 3d or 2d?

Here is a quote from FredH at

"grotesq, concepts are not required for 3d entries. They are optional. Feel free to show your story on your concept sheet when you hand in your finals. Could be cool to see a little history on your creation"

which I found in this thread:
