High poly models to low poly version

Hi everyone,

It´s been a while now since I´ve been looking how to animate a high poly character with a low poly version model, specifically , for a zbrush_maya pipeline, however, i can´t find the answer anywhere
I´ve found how to convert details from zbrush as a desplacement, but not how to reduce the polygonal count, so I´ve decided to call cgtalk travelers for aid
If this is really not a conspiracy of ILM against me and you help me, we will all dance hand by hand in our proper country´s tradicional outfit with a smiling sun and a rainbow as a background, if you don´t, the world will turn out just as in those Robocop movies.

Anyway, thanks for the help!
