Blind Dragon, Sang Han (2D)

Title: Blind Dragon
Name: Sang Han
Country: USA
Software:

Dragons have been interpreted many times but I wanted to challenge myself to design one that was unique. This dragon lives in the shaded or lower areas of the forest. When I was working, I thought about certain hairless and blind creatures that live underground. This dragon has lost it's wings through evolution and the extra tenticles help him sense his surroundings.

Your Dark Archer painting is awesome as well.

Very original concept of a blind creepy dragon !!

But I better see him in a big dark cave, or something like that, than somewhere in a green tropical forest even in the lowers areas...

But a great work, really !

Cool

Great to see an original take on a dragon, a subject that can tend to be boring or cliche. Good job! The backdrop is beautiful, and the over painting technique is spot on.

Great job! I like how the distant half of the figure kind of receeds into silhouette.

Congratulations! You wanted to create a unique dragon and you succeeded. I agree with Michael5188 that dragon designs are often lacking in originality, but you've created something new. My only quibble is that I would have liked you to extend the originality to the lower half of the body as well. It looks a little too human.

Well done!

Thanks for the positive feedback. The crits are very thoughtful as well. It makes me realize once again that this is a great community. I will take them to heart.

Great work Sang Han! You manage to bring fine details yet it still mantain the sketchy and simple look, and I like the way you translate your concept, its very unique design!

Awesome man!
