I don't understand, I didn't enter on this challenge and I'm glad, cause everyone is braking the 6th rule:

Entries must be original and must remain unpublished outside of CGSociety prior to the close of the challenge. Any entry deemed by the judges to be identical or substantially similar to any other entry previously entered will be disqualified as a derivate work.

entered in this contest:

and was printed previously in catalogues of: http://www.permanence.de/

It is not true! This work is authentic and it´s unpublished. I don´t understand what links as http://www.permanence.de/ and http://www.designineurope.eu/ in common with this image. DesigninEurope is about webdesign, illustrations and so on, Permanence.de is dedicated to artist Russell Mills and Ian Walton.

I think these models are some sort of fractal designs. Maybe software lke xenodream would do it.
