Question Dynamic coloring for line art.

I would like to find some tutorials on how to color lineart similar to this:

http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34941

These images are very similar to the type of things I draw, but I can't get this kind of coloring going.. Can someone offer some tips or better yet, give me some links to tutorials on this?
