Very odd...but odd is good. It didn't look as I expected when I saw the full size pic, I expected it to look like a sponge or something but I like the layered look of it.

Thanks for the comments...

The geometry is generated by a python script that samples 3d fractals along a specified number of 3D planes. It then constructs polygons based on those sampled values. Script runtime is 8-14 hours.

WowHooow! amazing, is it a real geometry or a procedural displacement map? how much time of rendering?

Use Vray tu put some detail into it when zoomed. I think about sponge like material.

This is really a very intersting image. The details are amazing and it's really fun to zoom into them.
