IK / FK attribute question.

My main animation tool is Max but I figured I'd sharpen my dull animation skills using Maya so I'm making a simple run cycle to start. I've found most of the tools I need to animate but one issue I'm having that I cant seem to figure out is animating the arms. The IK solving it's doing for hand position isn't what I want and adjusting the curves doesn't seem to help much.

Looking at the help file it talks about turning on and off IK and animating with FK per frame and I think with will give me the control I'm looking for but I cant find the IK Solver Attribute to turn the IK to FK. I select the end effector of the IK chain but I don't see that attribute in any of the menus. Could anyone tell me where I should be looking?
