Sci_Fi landscape "Colossus Prime"

Science Fiction Painting No.0001 Stage 1:

This will be the first of 3 Digital Paintings to hang on my studio walls by December 31st 2007.
Still a work in progress, there will be more foreground structures and three space craft and moons.

Title: Mining Colony 'Colossus Prime' on Planet V21357Theta-01

While beautiful, this small planet ringed by 2 giant moons is prone to earthquakes and sudden stormy conditions.

The colony structure features Multi-reactionary Earthquake-Neutralising Technology (MENTOR).

Advanced Windmill Reactor and Light-Reaction Solar Planes provide supplementary energy to its main ION generators.

In an emergency, the entire colony structure will release from its AG-pneumatic moorings and hover in safety with its ZeRO-Gravity Shield Generators.

Probably 3 more stages before I consider the painting done.

Entirely digital using Intuos 3 with CS2, 18 inches x 28 inches at full print resolution.
