Question Character: 2D Medieval creature

Hey
Two posts in just a couple of days - it seems I'm back to "foruming"
again...this time it's 2d, a character wich is a logo (or a cute thing that stands on the cover, forgot the word) of a computer games magazine. That's why there's no background, they've used it in a couple of commercials and stuff...What do you think?

Nice.. Really dig the feel to it.

Btw you’re a 2D guy so I got a question for ya.. Is 512x512 an acceptable resolution for a tablet? Or will I bee disappointed. Will be used for texturing.

Actually I'm really a "3d guy"...
I do modeling, texturing and character animation in a gamedev studio...I draw 2d ocassionally...But to tell the truth, I got no idea what is a tablet resoliution...I use wacom intuous 2 A5 and I think it's the best you can get compared to price and productivity
though its drivers s*ck big time

I think the word you're looking for is "mascot".

Gorgeous painting, it's really vibrant. Beautiful work!

very nice work Jovi. Your use of different textures in your paintings is great. The patterns on his armor and axe are very nice too, good sense of depth in'em. Keep up the good work!
